To charge an iPad using a MagTek iDynamo:
Ensure sound and secure physical connections at all points:
- Apple 12W USB Power Adapter to a wall outlet
- Micro-USB Cable from Apple 12W USB Power Adapter to MagTek iDynamo Credit Card Reader
- MagTek Dynamo Credit Card Reader to iPad Lightning Port
To charge an iPad using a MagTek eDynamo:
Ensure sound and secure physical connections at all points:
- Anker PowerPort Speed 2 Ports to a wall outlet
- Micro-USB Cable from Anker PowerPort Speed 2 Ports to MagTek eDynamo Credit Card Reader
- Apple-approved Lightning Cable from Anker PowerPort Speed 2 Ports to iPad Lightning Port
If an iPad battery has been completely depleted:
An iPad with a depleted battery will display a charge-battery icon when the iPad Power Button is pressed. Connect the device directly to a power source via an Apple-approved Lightning Cable to quickly recharge the device:
- Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen and remove the support bracket of the MagTek Credit Card Reader and disconnect the reader from the iPad
- Connect the iPad directly to an Apple 12W USB Power Adapter via an Apple-approved Lightning Cable
- Charge the iPad battery to a minimum of 30% (20-30 minutes) before reconnecting the MagTek and powering on the device
- Turn on the iPad by holding the iPad Power Button until the Apple icon appears
- Reconnect the MagTek iDynamo Credit Card Reader and replace the support bracket
- Reconnect the MagTek Credit Card Reader to an Apple 12W USB Power Adapter via MicroUSB Cable
- Confirm the iPad is charging by exiting the SALIDO POS and verifying the Lightning symbol appears over the battery icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Re-launch the SALIDO POS and resume normal operations
