Setup for Gift Cards and Comp Stored Value

Stored Value can be added to Gift Cards via a Custom Payment Method in addition to traditional Cash and Credit Card Payment Methods. Configuration and workflows for Comp Stored Value are comprised of several steps:

  1. Create or Edit Roles with Comp Stored Value Permissions - Creating and managing Comp Stored Value Payment Methods on the SALIDO Bridge and adding Comp Stored Value to Gift Cards from the SALIDO Point of Sale are controlled by separate permissions in Employee Roles. No additional permissions are required for redemption of Gift Cards with Comp Stored Value
  2. Create one or more Comp Stored Value Payment Method(s) - Create multiple Payment Methods for uses such as Promotional, Charitable Donation, Service Recovery, etc.
  3. Add Comp Stored Value to a Gift Card with a Comp Stored Value Payment Method on the SALIDO Point of Sale

Create or Edit Roles with Comp Stored Value Permissions

Add permission to Create and Manage Comp Stored Value Payment Methods from the SALIDO Bridge

  1. Select Employees from the SALIDO Bridge Main Menu and select Roles from the dropdown

    -OR-

    Select the Three Dots and select Edit from the dropdown to edit an existing Role

  1. Select the Bridge tab and scroll to the Setup section

  1. Toggle ON Manage Comp Stored Value Payment Methods

Add permission to Add Comp Stored Value to Gift Cards from the SALIDO Point of Sale

  1. Select Employees from the SALIDO Bridge Main Menu and select Roles from the dropdown

  1. Select Create New to create a new Role

    -OR-

    Select the Three Dots and select Edit from the dropdown to edit an existing Role

  1. Select the POS tab and scroll to the Misc section

Create one or more Comp Stored Value Payment Method(s)

  1. Select Payments from the SALIDO Bridge Main Menu and select Payment Methods from the dropdown

  1. Name the Comp Stored Value Payment Method (e.g. Promo Stored Value, Donation Stored Value, Service Recovery Stored Value)

  1. Toggle ON Comp Stored Value

NOTE: Restrict is toggled ON automatically for all Comp Stored Value Payment Methods

  1. Select Roles to have access to the Comp Stored Value Payment Method

NOTE: An Employee must be clocked in under a Position associated with a Role that has both the Comp Stored Value POS Permission toggled ON and access to the Comp Stored Value Payment Method

  1. Select Locations at which the Comp Stored Value Payment Method can be used
