The Scan to Pay Feature is getting better!
Introducing Split Payments with SALIDO Scan to Pay! Your guests can now choose an amount they wish to pay before tip, and share paying for the check with other guests at the table!
How to start using Split Pay
If you are already using Scan to Pay, you will just need turn on the Split Pay setting to allow your guests to split their checks with Scan to Pay.
If you need to setup Scan to Pay from the start you can use this article!
- Sign into the SALIDO Bridge (bridge.salido.com)
- Using the left navigation menu, navigate to the section titled "Mobile Payments."
- At the bottom of the page you will find a new setting "Allow Split Pay."
- Toggle it on.
- Save.
You are ready to go!

What does it look like for the guest using Split Pay with Scan to Pay?
After a guest has scanned the QR code they will see an updated Check Screen. The Screen will present them with the option to pay a partial amount or pay the entire check.
When the Guest chooses to Pay Partial Amount, they will be presented with an option to enter the amount they wish to pay. This amount is pre-tip and pre-tax.
The guest will then choose their tip, and payment method just like any other Scan to Pay check.
When they have finished paying they will be shown an updated thank you screen that will show the remaining balance on the check.
FAQ
Can more than two people split the check?
Yes, the guests can split the check as many times as they like. As long as there is a balance due for the check.
What happens if a guest tries to pay more than the value of the check?
If a guest attempts to pay more than the total of the check when choosing their amount to pay it will update to the total balance due on the check.
For example, if the guest has a check balance due of $48.59 and attempts to pay $50.00, the amount field will update to the maximum balance due on the check: $48.59.
What happens in the event of an overpayment?
If guests accidentally overpay for a check, the Thank you screen will update to alert the guest(s) of the overpayment. Additionally, the server's check will show as overpaid, until they adjust it down to the balance due.
