A Prep Station Error indicates an order has failed to reach a Prep Device (either a KDS Display or a Printer). Prep Station Errors provide information on the specific device where order has failed. Use Prep Station Errors to identify a problematic device for basic troubleshooting.
Prep Station Errors appear on the POS in two places:

From within a Check, select an Item from the Order Entry Screen to reveal device-specific information
Successful Print Job

Printer Error to a Prep Station routed to one Prep Device

Partial Printer Error to one Prep Device for a Prep Station routed to multiple Prep Devices

Printer Error to multiple Prep Devices for a Prep Station routed to more than one Prep Devices

Basic Troubleshooting for Prep Devices
Once the problematic Prep Device been identified from the information in a Prep Station Error Notification try the following basis troubleshooting steps:
- Ensure the Prep Device is on and connected to power
- Ensure the Prep Device has an active network connection
- Check for any mechanical issues (error lights, paper jams, or physical damage)
- For Printers, ensure the appropriate paper type is present and properly loaded and that all lids are tightly closed
- For KDS Displays, ensure the SALIDO KDS app is open and running and the iPad is on the same network as the POS Terminals
