Guided Access is an iOS feature designed with educational software in mind that locks iPads into a single application. Once enabled, Guided Access runs in sessions that can be started and ended by triple-clicking the iPad Home Button and entering a user-defined Guided Access Passcode.

Any time the SALIDO POS app is exited or backgrounded on any device, syncing is disrupted and checks can become “locked”, as the system recognizes them as in use until the sync is completed. To prevent this, it is strongly recommended that all operators leverage this feature to ensure the SALIDO POS app stays open and running at all times.

To enable Guided Access on iOS 15:

Exit the SALIDO POS app and open the iOS Settings app
Select Accessibility from the left navigation
Scroll to the bottom and select Guided Access
Toggle Guided Access ON
Select Passcode Settings
Select Set Guided Access Passcode
Choose a Passcode
Select Display Auto-Lock
Select Never
Exit the Settings app and Re-Open SALIDO Triple-click the iPad Home Button to begin a Guided Access session As necessary, triple-click the iPad Home Button and enter the passcode to end a Guided Access session
