Create a Position

A Position represents an Employee’s exact job in the Organization. Positions are associated with a Position Category (typically FOH, BOH, Management) for Labor Reporting and inherit permission sets from their Roles. See Positions vs Roles for additional information on the distinction between Positions and Roles.

Common examples include:

Server
Bartender
Dishwasher
Line Cook
Cashier
Floor Manager
General Manager
Director of Operations

Create a Position:

Select Employees from SALIDO Bridge main navigation and select Positions from the drop-down
Select Create New
Enter a Name for the Position
Select the appropriate Position Category from the drop-down menu
Check all appropriate Roles REMINDER: Roles contain permissions regarding access to both SALIDO POS and the SALIDO Bridge and will vary from Organization to Organization. See Positions vs. Roles
Card Authentication	Select Card & PIN — Employees with this Position can access the SALIDO POS with either a SALIDO Employee Card or a 6-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) Select Card Required — Employees with this the Position are required to use a SALIDO Employee Card to access the SALIDO POS
End open shifts when settling business days	Select No — Employees with this Position are not automatically clocked out at the end of each Business Day Select Yes — Employees with this Position are automatically clocked out at the end of each Business Day
Select Save
