Bank Tracking is controlled in Preference Profiles and is therefore assigned on a per Terminal basis. There are three methods of Bank Tracking:
- Bank Tracking > None — Cash payments do not require a bank to be opened on Terminals with this preference. Cash transaction will not be recorded in Bank Reporting. Cash sales will appear on the Shift Report, Daily Summary, and Daily Detail reports from the SALIDO POS, as well as the Accounting Summary, Payment Summary, and Payment Detail reports on the SALIDO Bridge.
- Bank Tracking > By Employee — Requires a bank to be opened before accepting cash payments on terminals with this preference. Banks are assigned to a specific Employee. Only the owner of the bank will be able to accept cash payments into the bank on that Terminal.
- Bank Tracking > By Terminal — Requires a bank to be opened before accepting cash payments on Terminals with this preference. Banks are assigned to Terminals, and any Employee will be permitted to accept cash payments into the bank on that Terminal.
If Bank Tracking is enabled on a Terminal but a bank has not been opened or the open bank belongs to another Employee, users will see an orange exclamation point warning icon over the + Cash button at the bottom of the Payment Screen:
No Bank Open or Bank Owned by another Employee |
