A variation is a version or form of a single Menu Item. Variations are useful when distinguishing between various sizes or styles of the same Menu Item. These are tracked in reporting and associated with one parent Menu Item.
NOTE: A few notes on best practices:
- Add new Variations as needed rather than renaming existing ones. Renaming a Variation overwrites the historical record of that Variation in Reports.
- Toggle unused Variations OFF instead of deleting them. If the same Variation is re-added at a later date, it will create a duplicate item in Product Mix Reports.
