A variation is a version or form of a single Menu Item. Variations are useful when distinguishing between various sizes or styles of the same Menu Item. These are tracked in reporting and associated with one parent Menu Item. 

NOTE: A few notes on best practices:

• Add new Variations as needed rather than renaming existing ones. Renaming a Variation overwrites the historical record of that Variation in Reports.
• Toggle unused Variations OFF instead of deleting them. If the same Variation is re-added at a later date, it will create a duplicate item in Product Mix Reports.

Create a Variation:

Select Menu Manager from the SALIDO Bridge navigation and choose Menu Items
Search for a Menu Item
Click the Three Dots and select Edit
Scroll down to the Prices section and select Add Variation
Name the Variation and assign a price
Select Add Variation to create any additional Variations
Press Save
The Variation has been created!

Order a Variation:

Open a new check on the SALIDO POS
Select the Menu Item updated with Variations
Once selected, a second menu will open showing the Variation options
Select desired Variation, notice the pricing reflected and the difference between the Regular item and Variation item
Press Save/Send
