A Guest Label on check to conveys additional information about a guest or group of guests. Guest Labels replace the Check Number in the Checks View and are printed on Prep Tickets (both in the kitchen and the bar), but do not appear on Guest Receipts. Guest Labels are free-form and do not have a character limit; they are a great place to record a guest's name for a pick-up order, mark a special occasion for the kitchen (e.g. birthday or anniversary), or identify a PX or VIP guest.
Keep in mind that Prep Tickets often end up on the floor or are visible to guests at a Service Bar. As best practice to always use appropriate, guest-facing language for Guest Labels even though they do not reflect on Guest Receipts and are not intended to be guest-visible.
