In addition to Modifiers, free-form Notes can be amended to any Menu Item to provide additional information or instructions on Prep Tickets. Notes have no character limit, so don't skimp on the details! Notes are a great place to communicate specifics of an allergy, add a happy birthday message to a dessert, or explain a special cocktail request.

By default, Notes do not appear on Guest Receipts, however, this can be configured in Preference Profiles under Receipts. In general, we advise against using Notes on Guest Receipts unless there is a specific need.

Add a Note to a Menu Item

Select an unordered item
Select Notes
Use the keyboard to enter a note
Tap to deselect the item
Select Save/Send
