Customize SALIDO Reports: Row Controls

Row Controls

Use Row Controls to change how report data is sorted and grouped to create custom reports. Row Controls can be applied to both Detail Reports and Summary Reports.

NOTE: Metrics and Attributes for Row Controls will vary based on the dataset of the report.

Sort and group Detail Reports to organize raw data into categories.

First, run a Detail Report
Select Reports from the SALIDO Bridge Main Menu
Choose New or Saved and select a Detail Report (e.g. Product Mix Detail, Shift Detail, Discount Detail) from the dropdown
Optional Select ⌃ to collapse the Report, Time, and Location controls
Select Rows
Then, use Row Controls to Sort and/or Group the report data

Sort the report data in ascending or descending order by a single metric
Select Sort by
Select a Metric from the dropdown
Select Ascending or Descending sort order
Select Update

or Group similar line-items under relevant sub-headers by adding an additional metric
Select Group by
Select a Metric from the dropdown
Select Update
Rows are grouped under dark grey sub-headers representing the Group by metric

Row Controls for Summary Reports (return to top)

Use Row Controls to change how report data is sorted and grouped to create meaningful reports. Sort, Summarize, and Group the detailed, granular data from the Detail Reports to create customized Summary Reports.

First, run a Summary Report
Select Reports from the SALIDO Bridge Main Menu
Choose New or Saved and select a Detail Report (e.g. Product Mix, Shift Summary, Discount Summary) from the dropdown
Optional Select ⌃ to collapse the Report, Time, and Location controls
Select Rows
Then, use Row Controls to Sort, Summarize and/or Group the report data

Sort the report data in ascending or descending order by a single metric
Select Sort by
Select a Metric from the dropdown EXAMPLE Sort a Product Mix by Quantity Sold in ascending order to identify underperforming Menu Items EXAMPLE Sort a Product Mix by Menu Item in alphabetical order to make inventory easier
Select Ascending or Descending sort order
Select Update
or Summarize the report data to create rows
Select Summarize by
Select a Metric from the dropdown EXAMPLE Summarize a Product Mix by Menu Item to create a row for each Item to analyze sales of individual items EXAMPLE Summarize a Product Mix by Revenue Category to produce a high-level view of Food, Wine, Beer, and Liquor sales
Select Update
Summarized data creates rows based on the selected metric and appear as green hyperlink line-items
or Group similar line-items under relevant sub-headers by adding an additional metric
Select Group by
Select a Metric from the dropdown EXAMPLE Group Menu Items on a Product Mix under Menu Item Categories to identify top sellers in each category EXAMPLE Group Menu Items on a Product Mix under Revenue Categories to identify overall top sellers by product type
Select Update
Rows are grouped under dark grey sub-headers representing the Group by metric
or Add Row Data to summarize the same data by more than one metric to make side-by-side comparisons
Select + Add Row Data
Select Summarize by
Select a Metric from the dropdown EXAMPLE Summarize a Product Mix by both Menu Item Categories and Revenue Categories to create a snapshot of overall sales and costs
Select Update
Data is summarized by both metrics to produce rows grouped under sub-headers of their summary metric
