Manage SOLO Discount Rules

Create SALIDO Online Ordering (SOLO) Discount Rules and unique Discount Codes for guests to redeem when placing online orders. SOLO Discounts can be configured to follow specific time and item availability constraints.

SOLO Discount Rules can be created as either Check Level or Item Level.

 

Create a Check Level SOLO Discount Rule

Check Level Discount Rules are applied to the entire SOLO check. For instructions on creating an Item Level SOLO Discount Rule, please see Create an Item Level SOLO Discount Rule below.

 

  1. Select SOLO from the SALIDO Bridge Main Menu and select Discount Rules from the dropdown

  1. Select Add New Rule

  1. Name the Discount Rule (e.g. 20% Discount for Regs or Sandwich Promo)

NOTE: Discount Rule Names appear in Reporting

  1. Create an alphanumeric, case-insensitive Discount Code (e.g. DISCOUNT20 or SANDO5)

NOTE: Discount Codes are shared with guests

  1. Add a Discount Message (e.g. 20% off Order or $5 off Sandwiches)

NOTE: Discount Messages are displayed to guests during checkout after entering the Discount Code successfully

  1. Select a Discount Type from the dropdown
    • Amount - the discount total is deducted from the subtotal as a fixed dollar amount
    • Percent - the discount total is deducted from the subtotal as a calculated dollar amount of the check total

  1. Specify the Discount Value

  1. Select Check from the Discount Level dropdown

  1. Optional Toggle ON Stackable if the Discount Rule can be combined with other Discount Rules on the same check

NOTE: In order to apply multiple Discount Rules to the same check, all Discount Rules must be Stackable

  1. Toggle ON Activate to make the Discount Rule immediately available

  1. Optional Enter a Start Time and End Time (24-hour clock) or click the Clock icon to select hours of the day during which the Discount Rule can be applied, then select Add Time

NOTE: Times are on a 24-hour clock. 5 PM = 17:00

  1. Optional Select Weekly Activation to select days of the week during which the Discount Rule can be applied

  1. Optional Enter a Start Date and End Date (yyyy-mm-dd) or click the Calendar icon to select a Start Date and End Date during which the Discount Rule can be applied

Create an Item Level SOLO Discount Rule

Item Level Discount Rules are applied to specific Menu Items on a SOLO check. For instructions on creating an Item Level SOLO Discount Rule, please see Create a Check Level SOLO Discount Rule above.

 

  1. Select SOLO from the SALIDO Bridge Main Menu and select Discount Rules from the dropdown

  1. Use Item Options to select individual Menu Items to which the Discount Rule is applicable. Click a Menu Item to move it to the Included column.

TIP: Use the Filter field to search for specific items and click and drag to select multiple items at once
