The December 2021 Configuration and Firmware update for the BBPOS 3-in-1 Card Reader includes Bluetooth connection stability and performance upgrades to improve the overall user experience. This is a mandatory update and users will not be able to process payments until this is completed.
NOTE: Please perform all updates before service and allow fifteen (15) to twenty (20) minutes per device. Please be patient and do not skip any steps!
Before performing the Configuration and Firmware Updates below, please update the SALIDO Point of Sale to version 5.40.0 when prompted, if you have not already.
BBPOS Configuration and Firmware Update
WARNING:
- Update will not begin if BBPOS battery is below 60%
- Do not close the app at any time during the update process
- Both the Configuration and Firmware must be updated before processing payments
1. On the PIN screen, click on the Card Reader icon, located in the bottom left of the Keypad. |

2. Once connected, the card reader will prompt that a firmware update is required. Both the Config and Firmware versions will display on the screen at this time. Click on "Update Now".
Note: If "Cancel" is selected, the upgrade will not continue and the card reader will be unusable until the update is completed. |

Having Trouble?
If the BBPOS 3-in-1 Card Reader does not automatically reconnect, please attempt to re-connect the BBPOS Card Reader by navigating to Settings > Card Readers > Configure from within the SALIDO App. Then, proceed with the steps above, starting at Firmware Update - Step #7.
Still Having Trouble?
Force Close the SALIDO Point of Sale app and start again:
- Double Click the iPad Home Button
- Swipe SALIDO up toward the top of the screen when the apps snap into a grid
- Relaunch SALIDO and return to Step 1
